Aislyne Calianos joined the firm in 2025 and works primarily on environmental matters.
Driven by a dedication to public service, Aislyne began her legal career as a field attorney with the National Labor Relations Board, where she spent three years investigating unfair labor practice charges and litigating cases on behalf of the agency – work that put her at the center of protecting workers’ rights under the National Labor Relations Act on a daily basis. Building cases from the ground up, examining witnesses, and navigating the complexities of federal labor law gave Aislyne a sharp eye for fact-intensive disputes and a fluency in regulatory frameworks. Today, Aislyne channels these skills into her current practice, where she is motivated by a deep personal commitment to protecting the environment.
Aislyne graduated from Tulane Law School with honors in 2022, where she earned a certificate in Environmental Law. During law school, Aislyne was a Managing Editor of the Tulane Law Review. As a student attorney for the Tulane Environmental Law Clinic, she worked on behalf of the Clinic’s clients to advocate for the protection of Louisiana’s sensitive wetlands in the Atchafalaya Basin and St. Tammany Parish.
Aislyne received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island, where she majored in Marine Affairs and Spanish and developed a passion for studying the ways that people interact with, rely upon, and shape coastal and marine environments. As a Coastal Research Fellow, Aislyne contributed to published research on the impacts of offshore wind farms on commercial and recreational fishermen and authored a policy paper on the effects of emerging environmental regulations on the international shipping industry. Aislyne’s interdisciplinary background in coastal policy and science serves as the foundation for her understanding of the ecological systems and environmental regulations that now sit at the heart of her litigation work.
